About Me
I’m obsessed with learning! I’ve
intentionally been on a path of personal development for most of my life. My
greatest interest is in exploring the uncharted edges of personal potential.
Early on I found that most of the time, I was not learning what people thought
they were teaching me. Oh, I was learning alright. I was learning massively,
but it wasn’t what my parents, teachers or religious leaders thought they were
teaching me. Instead I was learning what was important to me, freedom,
self-reliance, independence and personal control.
I’m a transformational life coach.
Plain English please! Oh, ok, I’ll try. My training is in neuro and cognitive
behaviorism, that is how the brain (the hard ware) and the mind (the soft ware)
process information and affect our daily actions. In real life practice I help
people identify the changes they want to create in their life and then we
work together to make it so, but my focus is still on freedom, self-reliance,
independence and personal responsibility and control.

What I’ve found is that there are
many tools, practices and techniques for taking control of your life, but
ultimately they all come down to what you know about your self. “Know thy
self!” is the beginning of freedom. Until you know yourself, you are a prisoner
of your genetics, a prisoner of your society and a prisoner of your own past. Whether
you are a hobo, a stay at home parent or a tied down CEO, if you’re looking for
change, it starts with knowing yourself better.

For fun I spin, knit, read, horseback
ride, garden, kayak and play with my dogs. I enjoy baking bread and trying new
things and I’m a published author. I love to learn and when ever I get myself
into real trouble it’s sure to be because I’ve tried something new and jumped
in the deep end of the pool with little preparation.
I swear it’s the reading! It
sounds so easy. I understood every thing I read and I just had to try it! Well,
I’ve lived through every one of those jumps, which just reinforces my belief in
my own immortality. I’m crazy. I know it and I love every minute of it. Well
almost every minute. So I keep on reading new material and imagining new things
and then doing new stuff and getting into new trouble. It’s so much more fun
than repeating the old mistakes all over again. So if you ever need some one to
help you do what you’re not quite sure you should be doing, give me a holler
and I’ll help push you on over the edge into experiential living.
